What a week! We have now come to the end of the Chelsea Flower show. Truth be told, Screen With Envy is actually based in Chelsea. So the flower show is both an important business marker for the year but also a delightful part of every day life. King's Road becomes transformed by breathtaking floral displays and our street has traffic diversion signs up for the flower show. All the local restaurants become packed with people carrying M&G bags, in short, it's an absolutely lovely time.
Around this time of year, people ask if we are exhibiting at Chelsea. And before this year we never had. It kind of falls at our busiest time of year when we are beyond thinking about getting new business and are frantically cutting designs and learning about our clients' new projects. I am the first to admit we probably should be there, but for one reason or another we never have been.
So we were delighted to connect with Solus via one of our lovely garden design clients, Nicki at Border in a Box. Solus produce simply the most stunning fire pits and water features. Gorgeous, gorgeous, things. The colours and finish are achingly beautiful, and I am now coveting one for our next outdoor project. Solus exhibit at Chelsea yearly and like to create a space that clients can take inspiration from and re-create in their own projects. We were pumped when Solus asked us to create some bespoke garden screening to fit their space perfectly. It was an absolute pleasure to work with them, and the project is par for the course of our normal type of work we do for our clients.
We had a fabulous time there and connected with so many great designers and members of the public. We are amazed by the breadth of conversations we had there and have now decided to exhibit at Hampton Court Flower Show this July – cannot wait!
